Here’s what I had to do on the last day of my internship.
5 a side tournament representing O2.
We got to the final but lost to the Arsenal staff team.
I did score but managed to miss a penalty in the Semi Final shootout!
Childhood dream come true :)

So, this morning was interesting. Before I got to my internship today, I had to stop by a studio to get my picture taken. I was so excited. Looks like brightspark.motribe.mobi is finally getting some press =) YAY!

Friday. What if we cancel Mondays and have TWO Fridays each week, followed by long weekends?! Even though this Monday was cancelled by banks? (Still, havent’s found out, why it is named as bank holiday, but I dont really care, as long as it’s a HOLYday) so even though it was a short week, I’m really exhausted. but it’s always good to hear at the end of the day, satisfied voice of your editor, saying: “You are really quick, Marika!” I smiled. What do you think, I shuold have answered? Perhaps… “Yes, I’m as fast as a shark!” I really dont know, why shark, just Googled “fast as” and the first link that came out was “fast as shark.” Lord of Lords, I am really exhausted!
Actually, I got 2 positive comments this week, so it was worth it. Have a nice weekend all CASTers!

Doing some research into how manufacturers are using Pinterest today and comparing it to customer engagement with Facebook.
I’m looking into which social networks are useful and engaging when sharing certain content and why a company would potentially use it.
Decided to venture into Photoshop to visually compare Facebook vs Pinterest engagement. Expect some infoporn coming soon.
Also just got a sneaky look at a Galaxy III which was exciting!

May 1 - today the whole world iscelebrating or perhaps ‘celebrating’ - well some celebrate, some others ‘celebrate’ - International workers’ day or Labour’s day. Yes’ I know now. I started my internship at Reuters International picture desk today and have been looking at pictures from all over the world - celebrating my own worker’s day.
Do you think, its a good sign to start a new job on May Day? we will see…
How would I define my job?
Well, I think most of the time, I will be digging into Reuters Picture archive, looking for specific photos, saving and downloading them and sending to different desks sometimes far from here using FILEZILLA :) it’s so exciting to be familiar with some stuff out there. I already sent some to New York today, Huuray!
Meanwhile, my day 1 at my desk is over. I’m starving (starvating - I like this version of mine). Gonna go home now come back on my day 2 tomorrow.

1931-48 archives of all Telegraph articles about Gandhi. Turning it all digital for google..long and tedious but learning lots about Gandhi and how un-pc the journalists were back then!
